On March 28, 2024, to mark the progress of construction at the Satekles Business Center, a digital time capsule has been embedded in the main office building of the upcoming complex by its largest tenant, AS SEB banka. While most of the new business complex’s premises have already been leased, the business center’s other premises with a total area of 2,200 m2 are now available for applications from new tenants.

AS SEB banka, the anchor tenant of the 12,000 m² Satekles Business Center, has chosen one of the five buildings in the complex as its new headquarters in Latvia. To celebrate the visible progress of the new office building at Ernesta Birznieka-Upīša Street 2, SEB banka, in the presence of Linstow Baltic, the developer of the Satekles Business Center, placed a digital time capsule in the new building. The capsule is designed to be opened and updated every five years, and after the office’s grand opening in 2025, it is planned to be accessible to all visitors.

Linstow Baltic’s Chairman of the Board, Frode Grønvold: “We are confident that we are creating an excellent home for SEB banka, which will provide significant benefits for both the company and its employees. The outstanding location, including the potential connectivity with Western Europe via the Rail Baltica line, will offer substantial advantages and open up many new opportunities. We are pleased that the construction work has gained noticeable momentum, and SEB banka is marking this progress by placing a time capsule in the new building. We eagerly anticipate the day when we can inaugurate the new office together with the SEB banka team.”

In the Satekles Business Center complex, 2,200 m² of space is still available for tenant applications. The total area available for lease in the building facing Satekles Street is 1,860 m². These premises can be rented by one or several tenants who require modern and sustainable office space. The premises on the first floor of the building are also suitable for commercial activities. Notably, a roof terrace will be available on the top floor of the building.

Meanwhile, 380 m² of space is available for lease in the two-story cultural-historical wooden building with a mansard, located on Ernesta Birznieka-Upīša Street. These premises can be leased by one or more tenants. Moreover, the premises on the first floor of the building will be particularly suitable for businesses that need a regular flow of visitors or customers, while the upper floors will be ideal for modern offices. A private, lockable inner courtyard will also be available for the convenience of tenants in both buildings. The upcoming Satekles Business Center is located in the quarter between Elizabetes, Ernesta Birznieka-Upīša, Dzirnavu, and Satekles streets, and will be part of the Riga Central Railway Passenger Station and the Origo One Business Center neighbourhood quarter. It will include a total of five interconnected buildings, including the integration of one wooden building that is part the city’s cultural and historical heritage. The office complex is designed and developed in accordance with the highest quality and sustainability standards, creating a suitable environment for the business ecosystem. This is confirmed by the international recognition received in the fall of 2023, following the BREEAM building certification standard receiving the highest possible rating (Outstanding) for the design phase.
