Origo Shopping Centre continues to expand its offer, strengthening its position as a diverse shopping centre for all tastes and needs. After investing more than EUR 100 000 in reconstruction, the Euronics electronics and home appliances store has opened its doors, offering an even wider range of products. At the same time, Origo has successfully attracted a new tenant in the clothing and accessories segment, thereby further expanding the variety of brands and products available to customers.

Origo Shopping Centre is one of the largest and most modern shopping centres in the very heart of Riga, and last year it was visited by more than 20 million guests – both residents of Riga and visitors of the city. Thanks to its convenient and accessible location, as well as a thoughtful choice of tenants, Origo offers a diverse range of shops and services, which is constantly being expanded.

“The rapid development of the Riga Central Business District is also contributing to the expansion of our tenants’ businesses, creating a solid foundation for long-term cooperation and joint development. This is based on close and trustful cooperation with our tenants, which has allowed us to re-establish our position as the most visited shopping centre in Riga city centre. This fact confirms not only the attractiveness of Origo for consumers, but also its strategic importance for business development. The Riga Central Business District is currently undergoing a dynamic transformation, and Origo is strategically positioned as one of the most important long-term retail locations in the area,” says Evija Majevska, Commercial Director of Linstow Baltic and Origo Multifunctional Centre.

The new 430 m² Euronics store offers a wide range of high-quality electrical appliances, including audio and video equipment, computers, smartphones, home appliances and accessories at competitive prices. With the expansion of the premises, Euronics product range includes a much wider variety of products in the body and beauty, health and kitchen categories, as well as a wide range of TV sets, which were previously unavailable at Origo. At the same time, customers have access to professional advice from experienced specialists to help them choose the best solutions for home, work and entertainment.

United in the implementation of sustainability solutions

In line with its sustainability strategy, Origo integrates environmentally friendly solutions into its daily operations, promoting the efficient use of resources and minimising the impact on the environment. As part of this approach, Origo has incorporated a second-hand clothing store, Kilomax, into its spacious premises, thus providing an opportunity for quality clothing to be reused. At the same time, in order to adapt to the growing needs of customers, the handicraft shop Kumode has moved to larger premises on the second floor of the new Origo building, providing a wide range of products for sewing, knitting and other creative hobbies. In the service segment, visitors can use the self-service laundry Smaržo, which provides a quick, convenient and environmentally friendly way to wash and dry clothes, shoes and household items using professional and energy-efficient washing equipment. In this way, Origo continues to develop a sustainable retail ecosystem, creating a community where consumers are offered environmentally friendly alternatives, thus contributing to the implementation of circular economy principles.

Accessible environment and amenities

Origo Shopping Centre is easily accessible to everyone – commuters, motorists, including people driving electric cars, and cyclists. From 1 April, the car park of Origo Shopping Centre and Origo One Business Centre has been managed by Snabb. This cooperation is an important step towards modern, sustainable and technology-driven urban development. Snabb offers convenient and digitally managed mobility solutions – a modern payment system, automated parking access and easy payment via a mobile app. The customer-friendly solution – the first hour in the underground car park is free – also remains.
